10 Minute Dance Parties is an accessible artwork that collaborates with local young people to provide audiences with the best 10 minutes of their lives!
An audience is welcomed into an interactive space where we have a "Lock in" for 10 minutes in which we all party as hard as we can for the limited amount of time.
In a highly theatrical environment, audience members are invited to take the stage and choreograph the "Party." We attempt things world record conga lines, best homemade costumes, dance move competitions and more.
10 Minute Dance parties celebrates the universal nature of dance and reflects the social aspect of its importance within the community. It is a project that has proved to be the “blu-tak” for festivals and large scale events, serving as a meeting place between the audience and the stage.
